Fitonomy Mobility is a fitness product. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, physiotherapist or any other qualified professional.

Nothing in the app diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any condition. No score, zone rating or recommendation it produces is a clinical finding.

The measurement is an estimate

The test uses your phone's motion sensors and your own judgement of a position. It is a consistent way to track your own change over time. It is not a clinical goniometer, it has not been validated against one, and a number it gives you should not be used to decide anything medical.

Talk to someone first

Get professional advice before starting, and do not rely on this app instead of that advice, if you:

• have an injury, or pain that is new, sharp, or does not settle
• have had surgery, a fracture or a joint replacement
• have a condition affecting your joints, spine, bones, nerves, heart or circulation
• are pregnant or recently gave birth
• have been told by a professional to avoid particular movements

Telling the app about an area to leave alone removes positions from your test and movements from your programme. That is a blunt instrument. It cannot know your body, and it is not a clinical screen.

While you are moving

Take every position to about six out of ten — a stretch you can feel and still breathe through. If you are bracing or holding your breath, back off until you are not.

Stop immediately if you feel sharp or sudden pain, numbness, pins and needles, dizziness, chest pain or shortness of breath. Do not work through pain to finish a hold, a session or a streak. Nothing in this app is worth an injury.

Warm up if you are cold, use a mat on a hard floor, and clear the space around you before you start.

Emergencies

If you think you are having a medical emergency, stop and call your local emergency number. Do not use the app for anything urgent.

To the extent the law allows, Appostafat GmbH is not liable for injury or loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
