A useful home plan begins with honest inputs. A mat, a band and a pair of dumbbells are different from an empty floor, so tell Fitonomy what you can actually use. The Fitonomy planner overview describes choosing home training and equipment preferences, then reviewing a generated plan.
List what is within reach
Write down only the equipment you can use for this session. Check whether a band is intact, weights are manageable and the mat stays put. Do not select a tool because you might buy it later. The Fitonomy home workouts overview describes bodyweight, dumbbell and band options.
Set a realistic home plan
Choose home as your training setting and enter the days you can reasonably make available. Select your actual equipment when the app asks for preferences. Screen wording may change, so use the current choices rather than following an imagined menu. A short week you can inspect is more useful than an ambitious schedule you cannot fit.
Inspect the generated week
Look at each scheduled session before starting. Note the movement, available equipment and time required. The weekly plan review guide explains how to read a week and adjust expectations. A generated suggestion is a starting point for your own judgment, not a promise that every move suits you.
Check the room against each movement
Clear the floor, check overhead and side space, and keep doors and loose objects out of the movement path. A mat does not make an unstable surface safe. The small space setup guide covers the physical room; NHS home exercise safety advice also recommends space free of obstacles.
Change inputs when circumstances change
If the band breaks, weights are elsewhere or you move rooms, update the available equipment or location preference before using the next plan. The planner overview says preferences can be changed to generate a different plan. Do not improvise with a household object that cannot support the movement. For a bodyweight option, see home training without weights.
Record the real session
After training, note what you actually completed, what equipment was present and which movements you skipped. Use that record when reviewing the next week. Stop for pain, dizziness or other concerning symptoms and seek personal advice when you have an injury or prescribed movement limits. No app input can diagnose whether a movement is appropriate for you.
If some sessions move from home to the gym, choose your Fitonomy training place for the real week before listing equipment that is available only at home.
With two light dumbbells available, review the no bench floor press before deciding whether its floor position and weight handling fit your session.
If your home plan uses an elastic band, inspect the actual band before use and remove questionable equipment before selecting the session.
